Alan Miles [1] worked for Sinclair Research as a Mid-East Manager before going on to found Miles Gordon Technology [2] with fellow ex-Sinclair colleague Bruce Gordon.
With their success in DISCiPLE and +D floppy drive interfaces for the ZX Spectrum line of computers, they designed the Sam Coupé [3].
When MGT went into receivership in 1990, Alan and Bruce bought the assets to form Sam Computers. Unfortunately that company also succumbed in 1992, so Alan went back to the Arab Gulf.
In 2011, he returned to Cambridge, UK after 30 years in the middle-East.
He has also written a novel available as an e-book, entitled The Lebanese Troubles.[4]
